Easter 2012

Hallelujah, we didn't have to wear big coats this Easter! It was a glorious celebration of resurrection day in the warm sun and blue skies here in Colorado. My parents were visiting for the weekend and we were able to enjoy a few outdoor activities with budding trees and flowers! We did some egg dying and egg hunting for the lil tykes! We enjoyed time with our church family focused on the power of the resurrection and responses of those who were a part of it. The resurrection changed EVERYTHING, including me. Good perspective and challenge if you put yourselves in the shoes of the invincible Roman soldiers who guarded the tomb and were greeted by an angel or of Mary and Mary Magdalene that discovered the empty tomb and ran with fear AND joy to tell the disciples or of Peter who didn't believe others when told Jesus was alive but saw the risen Jesus for the first time 8 days later and touched his crucifixion scars and believed. Jesus did what he said he would. He died on the cross for us and all our sins and returned 3 days later so we would know it and can forever experience forgiveness. The resurrection is our proof and the forgiveness is every day. But we have to choose it. Romans 10:9 says "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." My prayer is that if you've made the confession that "Jesus is Lord," Easter was a reminder and celebration of all that you are saved from yesterday, today and tomorrow. Kai, my egg dying enthusiast, with Derrick. Grandma helping Addie and Eli spin their eggs in the bowl for an even color. Addie is the only one who spilled dye....thank goodness for no shirts! Pre-egg hunt pic with Grandma and Grandpa. Kai with his Easter basket. Addie on the hunt with her "garden fairy dress." This was how my mom and I marketed the Easter dress to her so she'd actually wear it. It worked! Eli finding his 1st Easter egg ever! Easter family pic! Happy Easter from us to you.
