Pictureless, amongst other excuses
So it's been nearly 2 months........... the list of excuses is extensive, mainly consisting of a missing camera charger, computer with virus, daily sickness till mid-Feb., and depression about the not-so-subtle hints followers are dropping about delayed blog updates! Although bottom-line, it's also related to technology boycott and lack of motivation and creativity on my part.
In the meantime, you may have missed............
1. Our baby #3 is 23 wks (I believe, I keep losing track with this one). The baby prefers to remain an "it" despite our 2 ultrasound attempts to find out sex....which has been highly disappointing. I think I'm over daily nausea and vomiting, although I knowI'm jinxing myself right now. I now take weekly progesterone shots (Derrick plays nurse with a needle--scary) in attempt to prevent yet another premature labor. The doc is watching my cervical lengths closely (which is what put me on bedrest with Addie). So far doc's "not worried," although I feel skeptical about that comment for some reason. Please pray....bedrest is not fun OR relaxing. However, God is preparing me (mentally). I have projects under my belt this time.... crochet, scrapbook, books, etc. And some possibilities for full-time childcare.
2. Addie's about 10 months, all 16 lbs of her. She doesn't crawl or scoot at all, however she's starting to want to pull herself up, will spin 360's on her bottom, and will stand to play on her music table or against the toy box if we're close. Maybe we're skipping most of crawling??? She's eating more and more table foods. She will drink water and juice out of a sippy cup. She claps all the time and bobs her head to "dance" at almost all music (she especially loves the ABC song for some reason). She makes the funniest faces....like squinting her eyes shut while hunching her neck and giving a tension smile. Silly. I just moved her out of her infant carseat (which she hated) and now that she's able to see more (still backwards though) she doesn't throw quite the fit when loading up the car. When Derrick or I come home, she has the hugest smile for us, hugs close to our body when we pick her up, and grabs our face in glee! Such a sweetheart.
3. Kai is becoming more independent and clever. He's been giving the comment "this is the best ______ I've ever had" very frequently. He is somewhat intuitive on situations....like when he knows I don't feel good, he come to hug me and asks "do you feel better now moma?"or if Addie cries alot he takes her his bub-ba (blankies) to make her feel better. He is still my lil snacker....ALWAYS asking for snacks and occassionally helping himself to the cupboards now. He's learning the consequences for not eating at mealtime alot lately....no snacks in-between. Bummer for him and hard on everyone (whiny and crying)!!! He's a morning man lately...up at 6am daily. He's starting to sing more and more words to songs he's known the chorus to for a long time......"Old McDonald, I've been working on the Railroad, Rock-a-bye baby, etc." He's putting his ABCs and counting together much more clearly and accurately recently. He entertains his sister easily....loving to get in the crib with her, although starting to get rougher with her on occassion. He fake laughs to make her laugh....it's cute. He gives our baby in moma's tummy kisses and asks it, "are you in there baby? Can you hear me?" He randomly asks "is our baby coming out today?" or occassionally states, "just take it out." I wish it were that simple.
Anyway, other than the kiddos, not much news. If you made it through all that blabbing without pictures you are truly a follower of our blog! Thanks. Sorry for the "delays" and we'll get some pics up soon (I'm planning to buy a new charger....enough waiting around for it to show up)!!
