Game time decision
My sister-in-law got me at this game....I'll give it a try.
The rules of the first game are:
1) Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2) Share 7 facts about yourself, some random, some weird.
3) Tag 7 more people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4) Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blogs.
Hummm... 7 facts:
1. I'm in the middle of a vampire book series. The latest Stephanie Meyer's series. Modern day vampires if you will. Yes, very surprising. I'm not big reader, but I'm hooked!
2. When TV is available, I get easily hooked on the Soapnet shows. I'm ashamed to admit. What a waste!
3. Once upon a time, I would go hunting with "the boys" for pheasants this time of year. I loved it. Girls should really take up more activities along these lines.
4. Tomorrow is Halloween and I have yet to get Kai his first official costume! Talk about procrastination.
5. I'm pregnant. Hence the lack of blogs lately. I have no motivation and am throwing up morning and night. They say it gets better at 14 weeks......ONE MORE MONTH. No way.....that's an eternity.
6. I crave chocolate milk lately.
7. I have not shaved my legs in almost 2 wks. Did I mention I'm not motivated?

13 months
Kai is now 13 months. He's walking as you get a glimpse of from my video attempt. He's eating all table foods, still sleeping through the night, and still taking 2 naps a day! YES. He is attempting more words lately, although none that have "stuck." He does understand us better though which is also helpful. Here's Kai and Daddy in their Alpaca hats! Yes, fall is about over.....it's getting colder. Although 70's this week make it a hard reality!
We've shown that we have a "lunch lounger" before on this blog, but it's become ridiculous! Kai thought he'd make himself comfortable for this meal. It was so hard to discipline to keep your feet off the table when it was just so darn cute!
Late as usual
This is my first attempt with any kind of video. It's just a quick video of Kai walking. It's off our camera and not our video camera, so we'll see how it works. It just makes the process easier!
Kai has been walking around the house for almost 2 weeks now. He goes all over. I'll have to get more footage because he still has alot of "drunken sailor" moments! Enjoy.

WALKER
We've almost got a walker on our hands! Kai is getting braver by the day! He's attempting walking across the room if he wants something bad enough. He's up to about 6-8 steps on his own. You can tell he gets proud of himself once he gets going. He's usually laughing or at least smiling when he's making his attempts! No serious head dives into furniture yet.....but we're ready with the First Aid kit!
Fall Days
I just love Fall. The shrubs all around our house are firey colors of red, orange and yellow! BEA-utiful! Derrick took these leaf pics around camp.....I just thought they spiced up the page in light of the season!
It was a frigid fall day, but I took Kai out to let Scout stretch her legs alittle. She's been cooped up outside, freezing because she got "skunked" a couple nights ago.......definitely not allowed in the house! It was my lame way of showing her some sympathy! Kai was enjoying eating the straw Derrick put in Scout's kennel to help keep her warm in this pic.
Kai's Grandma Carrie got him hooked on Capri Sun juices. So we allow one every now and then......he'll suck the package for hours after it's finished just to make sure it's really gone.

Hitting the road
Kai and I headed with Grandpa and Grandma to SD for my Aunt Bridget's funeral a few days earlier than Derrick. My aunt lost her second battle with cancer after 4 years. She had a strong and beautiful fight and now is partyin' with Jesus in heaven. We were blessed to have the time to be with and support family in SD.
Here's Kai, glad to finally be there and find "his" stuff!
Here's Kai hangin' with Uncle Reido.
My cousin Ryan and his wife Melissa have a little guy too. We're looking forward to them being able to play together very soon! This is Kai's 3rd cousin, Henry Hansen (~5 mo.). They were very interested in each other. Here's Kai picking Henry's nose! Henry let him this time, but not for long! Little Henry is almost the same weight as Kai and half the age! Watch out Kai!
