In all things.....
Today begins the 11 day countdown till MOVE DAY! It also marks the 1st PACK DAY.....that's right nothing is in a box yet. To catch you up (since I've been absent from the blog lately), our landlord is selling the house we rent. God extravagantly blessed a seemingly bad situation and we're renting another house at HALF PRICE for the next 6 months in hopes to BUY our own soon! Praise God.....He really works in all things (Rom 8:28).
On a more sentimental note, all the pics I loaded are fun and play IN our house. The thought got me reminiscing a bit:
1. Eli moved in this house when he was 1 month old.
2. Addie couldn't walk when we moved in this house.
3. Kai wore diapers, well they ALL did when we moved here.
4. Skate Church barely existed. Now we have 20 guys almost every week in this house to hear the Good News of Jesus.
This next move doesn't necessarily feel like a "new chapter" like it did when we moved here.....the job stays the same, the ministry stays the same, the kids are on a whole different level of development, BUT we are open to new things....because we trust that in ALL things God is there and is at work.
Enjoy these pics of play over the last few months. I believe they are the only pics on my camera at this point.
We have been practicing for our FIRST family camping trip this summer. We have made smores by the fire (in our basement) and we "napped" together in our sleeping bags to get everyone excited. It worked. The kids now play "camping."
Oh Eli. He is still our man of few words, although his vocabulary has expanded tremendously (dog, bark, up, down, juice, milk, more, ball, NO, yes, truck, Addie, Kai, grandma, grandpa, papa, moo moo, puppy bella, scout, etc)! He insists on many more things than he did just a few months ago. He sits at the table without a booster chair (to be like the big kids) and he hops on Addie's Strider bike determined to figure it out before she does! With the move in 11 days, he will transition from his crib and changing table to join the big kids (which is another sentimental step for mom).
Eli and Addie are catching on to the imaginary play and dress up that Kai includes them in so often. Just thought they were so cute together this morning. Addie wears this princess dress with jewels, ballet shoes, and accessories almost every day. Eli needs help getting things on but not shoes.....especially Kai's boots.
Our fairy princess. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up Addie declared "fairy."
Daddy occasionally serves snow in a bowl for a snack. Although always fresh and never brown or yellow.
Eli learned quite a while ago to aim things to change the TV channel or shoot a gun. Now he has the shooting stance and self-made Duplo gun to accompany his aim.
Happy First Day of Spring......we are literally working on our Easter projects this morning. Ah I love the thought of Springs.....all things made new! Amen!

Happy Belated Valentines
The kids are getting craftier every year. We had an array of different projects to decorate the house for valentines. Most of the projects included stickers and markers, but we did get these fun mailboxes to put valentine cards in. I'm still finding random heart stickers stuck to the carpets. We focused our "love" conversations around 1John 4:19 " We love because he first loved us." So a month after the fact, hope you know you are loved by our Creator and were able to love others because of it.
Addie busy with one of many sticker projects. This literally enteratained her for hours.
Our projects along with some verses were all displayed on a ribbon with mini clothes pins on the wall behind Addie.....oh wait, they are still up today.
The beautiful mailboxes. Hopefully next year Kai will be able to write his own little notes to Eli and Addie (with a little help).
Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
