Random days for Kai

Here's just some random shots of Kai's happenings in the last week or so:

PINK news!

That's right, we'll be transitioning to PINK for our little girl due June 4.

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday and decided to find out the sex of the baby this time around. We have been extremely anxious this last week and emotions were STILL running high for me on the way to the appointment. But everything looked HEALTHY at this point. We'll be taking some precautionary measure to reduce the risk of premature birth this time. I will be giving myself shots at home of progesterone therapy each week which newer research shows reduces preterm birth. Not so excited about that....but I'll take one for the team! We are keeping the name a secret until she arrives.....so stay tuned!

A Canoe

Whit's End, Focus on the Family

I took Kai to Whit's End (a indoor playground) at Focus on the Family the other day. We hadn't been there since last summer before he could even crawl (so not much fun for him)! Kai found several little friends about his age to play with and an older girl that he obsessed over her pink shoes. He even had a little bully pick on him and push him out of the way several times....but he endured like a man and just found somewhere else to play. Thata boy! He loved this little canoe. He would sit and hide in the bottom of it and then stand up to check out all the other action. One older boy was singing and clapping while he played and Kai joined it! I caught it!

We're excited to hit the infamous slide there....although pregnant ladies not allowed. So we'll have to bring Daddy!

Eat Snow

Sucking the snow off the bench.

Kai discovered he could eat the snow off our bench swing in the yard. Luckily it was white! He thought it was funny to get his whole face wet in the process. His cheeks came out super red!

We gave the sled another try. I just pulled him this time and tried to stay away from large inclines, since last time he dove out face first. I don't want him to be scarred from the experience. But he enjoyed it this time. I think he could've taken a little nap on the ride if I wasn't constantly talking to him! It was probably the "bundling" effect of the clothes.
